About a week & a half ago, Bruce and I went to Ynyslas sand dunes which are just up the coast from where we live in mid-Wales. As you’d expect, we had the cameras out and I took a fair few photos, but when I looked at them back at home, I was a bit disappointed because they seemed a bit dull – the colour of the marram grass was not that far off the colour of the sand, and the sky was a little pale and uninteresting. But then I had a play with Silver Efex Pro and suddenly my photos got a lot more dramatic! 🙂 These are some before and after shots so you can see what I mean – I think sand dunes really work well in black & white!
Great shots! Love the black and white versions!

Thanks Ryan – they’re a big improvement aren’t they? I have lots to learn 🙂
