Yesterday, while on my lunch time walk, I spotted this strange creature! It was pretty big for an insect and I wasn’t sure what it was. I thought it had a Crane Fly type of shape, a bit like what we call a Daddy-Long-Legs – a common type of Crane Fly. I asked on Flickr what people though it was, and thanks to a kind soul, I now know it’s a Ctenophora pectinicornis. It doesn’t have a common name as far as I can tell, but it’s good to know what it is. A rather strange beast, but I love to find new bugs and work out what they are 🙂
