New growth

Today the weather has turned windy again and I went for a short walk, getting blown to bits in the cold wind. I thought I’d grab the chance while it had stopped raining for a while. I was especially keen to see how the snowdrops are doing and I was pleased to see they’ve grown and there are lots more flowers now.

There are quite a lot of new leaves growing in the hedgerow. Not on the blackthorn, but there are Honeysuckle leaves, and something else I’m not sure of.

Back in the garden I took a few more photos of the willow, the ivy and some shoots coming up which I think are daffodils and spanish bluebells.

  1. Lovely to see the snowdrops … a real promise that Spring is not so far off. On our cold northern hillside ours are only shoots so far and daffodils the same … still to look forward to though 🙂
