A Little Light Pottering

Seeing as it was such a nice evening I had a little potter round the garden in the low evening sun.

The leaves on many trees and hedgerows seem to be shooting out fast now – perhaps it is the warmth that has triggered it. The Willow leaves have come out a lot more in just a couple of days


And the Rowan leaves and flower buds are all unfurling beautifully:


The Daffodils by the Willow are all out now and looked lovely with the sun shining through them:


I took another photo of that unidentified tiny flower from the other day. Mainly this is for my mum who wanted to see a bit more of it to see if it would help with working out what it was:


There are loads of Spanish Bluebell buds shooting up by the path now – blue ones and white ones – I don’t think it will be long before they come out:


This plant is flowering round the side of the house in a shady spot. I think it is a Sweet Cicely:


I spotted these leaves out in the back garden – I’m looking forward to when the lovely Welsh Poppies come out, but for now their leaves are looking quite pretty with rain drops on them


And finally, this lovely Robin was singing its heart out but was high up in a tree so all I could manage was a photo from beneath it!

  1. I was thinking your earlier close-up of mystery little blue flower looked a bit like a slightly-less-hairy version of the Early Forget-me-not (Myosotis ramossissima). I wonder if perhaps it is a garden variety?
