Yesterday we had a brief walk before dinner in the sunshine.
I spotted a couple of clumps of Forget-me-nots, and noticed they seem quite different from eachother, despite being recognisably Forget-me-nots. I’m wondering if perhaps one is a garden variety and the other is a wild one.
The leaves are really coming along on the Blackthorn now and they’ll soon be turning more green than white I think
I was excited to spot this little furry caterpillar as we were walking. First caterpillar I’ve seen this year. I think it is the caterpillar of some kind of moth, though I couldn’t identify it precisely:
Finally, we spotted a ladybird sunning himself on a leaf. There weren’t as many insects as I expected in the sunshine, but I guess it’s because the underlying temperature wasn’t that warm. In the shade it was still quite chilly.
I’m having a lazy day today, and it’s quite cloudy out there so not great photography weather anyway. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll have a walk the other way and see how the village bluebells are doing.
The forget-me-nots are lovely 🙂 I am wondering if they are perhaps like hydrangeas where the soil pH is a factor in the flower colouring … maybe 🙂
