Green-Veined White

There don’t seem to be many butterflies around yet this year, but this Green-Veined White butterfly came out to play, and was kind enough to sit still a while, when we were walking at the weekend. I was pleased to get a good focus on its eye.

Thank you very much to those who replied to my doubting post, thanks for kind words, and pull-yourself-together words – all very useful. I’m feeling much better about my new blog today.

  1. Wonderful capture of a Green-veined white 🙂 I’ve seen several Meadow Browns and a Small Tortoiseshell nearby us this week (despite our local council cutting down the grasses and wildflowers !!) Hopefully the second brood of Peacocks will be out soon 🙂

    1. Thank you. We’ve seen a lot of Ringlets recently but now there seem to be a few more Whites and Small Tortoiseshells. Hoping the weather will be better tomorrow and we can see what else is around.
