The weekly photo challenge this week is ‘minimalist’ and while pondering this I realised that actually a lot of my photos are minimalist or at least that is their aim. When shooting macro shots, you are often trying to capture one thing in sharp focus while the background fades to a unintrusive blur. This is a photo I took last week of my lavender.
Incidentally this is the lavender that nearly got smothered by other plants and I rescued it earlier this year. Since then it has recovered from looking almost dead, to now flowering in November! Not sure it ought to be doing that but at least its a lot happier now 🙂
I am thinking how nice the picture goes with the green background of your blog. 🙂

Great shot of the lavender, Suzy! I remember your lavender tale … glad to hear it has a happy ending 🙂
It has been a bit of an odd Autumn this year, hasn’t it, with all kinds of things flowering into November that ‘aren’t supposed to do’! 🙂
