Its tradition in our house to get the Christmas decorations up for 1st December. So yesterday we got started as we had a bit of time. My daughter and her friend helped to decorate the tree and drape tinsel in various places. I know some people disagree with decorating at this time and prefer to put decorations up at the last minute, but each to their own, this is our way 🙂
So as you’ll imagine, if you read often, I was tempted to look more closely at the tree and its decorations, rather than photographing the whole tree. Lovely sparkles and bokeh for the first day of December 🙂
Lovely Pictures, so warm and christmasy 🙂 I love this time of the year…

Oh very Christmassy, Suzy! Lovely images and lovely blog snow too 🙂 I like the traditional reds, greens and golds you’ve captured in your images – just my style 🙂 We started our Christmas countdown yesterday too, lighting the first candle on our Advent wreath.

Beautiful tree. One can’t dictate traditions. We all do what we want and what makes us feel good. I like seeing a colorful tree of reds and golds. 🙂

Advent Calendar (with chocs) and the Swedish Candles on the 1st December for our household, maybe mid December for the rest of the décor, little by little

Lovely colours in your photos. We are getting our tree next weekend but it will probably stay outside until we decorate much nearer Christmas. I only realised a few years ago that you don’t get any fresher trees if you leave it nearer the time as they are all cut at the same time anyway.
