Warm Teasel ~ Cold Teasel

I was wandering in my parent’s garden earlier in the week and the teasels kept catching my eye. I think I may have to get some for my own garden! In this first picture it was a bright sunny winter day and the teasel was glowing with warmth. Perfect for one last entry to the weekly photo challenge before it switches to a new topic!IMG_9287-Edit

In stark contrast, in this second photo it was a frosty morning and every spike of the teasel was delicately coated with ice crystals.

Two very different shots of one rather splendid plant!

  1. Lovely images, Suzy! I love teasels … despite their spikiness 🙂 I would certainly recommend you get some as they are brilliant for insect life in Summer … and their seedheads are also a favourite of the beautifully colourful goldfinches. I am already imagining all your fabulous photos on teasels ….. 😀
