Vivid Nature

  1. producing powerful feelings or strong, clear images in the mind
  2. (of a colour) intensely deep or bright.

I was thinking about this word as I went for my walk today, and was looking out for some vivid colours…

How about the vivid yellows, pinks and greens in the meadow?

Or perhaps the vivid blues of these lovely damselflies?

What about the vivid red and green on this Garden Chafer?

Or these vivid pink Rhododendron flowers?

But maybe instead of vivid colours I go for vivid memories of childhood days playing in the grass and trying to catch grasshoppers?

As you can see, I didn’t choose – just included them all!
