When there’s nothing to photograph outside, or the weather is bad, I turn to crochet. In the winter when there are no insects and flowers to look at, it’s nice to make your own pretty things indoors 🙂
This is what I’ve been up to recently – a beautiful Lily blanket designed by Jane Crowfoot (using StyleCraft yarn) which is a ‘Crochet-a-long’ so we get part of the pattern every 2 weeks. As you can see it’s not finished but I’ve laid the blocks out to see how it’s going to look.
I am also in the process of crocheting a ‘granny square’ type blanket, and a ribbon yarn scarf, and a jumper, and a flower shawl …. ahem … perhaps one day I will finish something (other than the cushion you have already seen!).
If you are interested in joining in you would be a bit behind but still could enjoy making the blanket. Info is on the Stylecraft website.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Off-Season.”
Oh I wanted to join that CAL but I am travelling and couldn’t get to a yarn shop
I am saving the pattern for the future! Yours look fabulous, well done!

Oh Suzy Blue, love your blanket! It could just have well gone in the Vivid photo challenge.
I used to have a whole heap of japanese crothet patterns which had beautiful doilies – I made a few – then lost the patterns.
Would love to find more sometime. Nice, unusual, intriguing ones. Not the usual pineapple etc doilies. 🙂
