I don’t really taken many photos of buildings or doors… they’re a little large and man-made for my usual style!
I expanded my thoughts on doors to other openings like gates … and came up with the Gatekeeper Butterfly:
And also my lovely Chris Chalk painting of an open gateway which has a lot of symbolism for me as well as being a great painting:
A bit off the topic of ‘door’ but hope you will accept my ‘gate’ offering as close enough! 🙂
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Door.”
Good lateral thinking. I am more than happy with your interpretation and that is another butterfly I have learnt. Are these quite common in your area?

I think that’s wonderful.
Hey Blue, if I could ask, how is Bruce these days? I don’t see anything from the chap anymore.

Hey Trent, Bruce is doing fine, just busy with computers and less time for poems and photos. I’ll tell him you were asking after him 🙂

Sorry you miss our poems – I guess we’re both too comfortable to write if you know what I mean. Much of our poetry came from pain and since we’ve been together life is much less painful 🙂

You know, I’m incredibly happy to hear that Blue. And I think that’s a lovely sentiment – very happy for you both.

I like how you kept true to your interests and style while following the door prompt. I am more nature oriented myself, so the calla lily etching in the glass on my front door gave me an easy foothold. I love your butterfly photo!

Lovely interpretation of the challenge, and a beautiful creature that is new to me. Thank you! 🙂
