I was having a little potter around the garden looking for inspiration for this week’s theme and I thought about all the green that usually features in my photos. So I pondered a green-on-green kind of a shot, and looked for opportunities as I wandered.
So, some very green photos ensued …
Then I was on my way in, fairly satisfied with my captures, when a movement caught my eye … a dragon! In my own garden as well! And it was one I hadn’t seen before (a female Migrant Hawker – Aeshna mixta) … and look where it decided to perch its brown self… only on some brown leaves! Everything came together for a lovely almost monochrome series of shots, leading to the ultimate ‘look into my eyes’ shot at the end! 😀 ❤
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Monochromatic.”
Beautiful detail!

Well, monochrome either is or it ain’t. It’s like you can’t nearly lose you virginity. But I do get stripey insects. http://www.readwave.com/hoverfly_s16961
