There’s something pleasing about a lone tree silhouetted against the sky. You might say it is a harmonious photograph. Harmonious: forming a pleasing and consistent whole. Or you could just say it looks nice…

And later, the sunset was burning up the sky behind the Beech tree in the garden so I grabbed another silhouette shot.

  1. I actually prefer the first shot as it gives a real sense of the isolation of the tree. Was it actually the same shot but cropped closer in the second photo? I was trying to tell by looking at the clouds. Maybe something in between would be perfect so the bank on the left is cut off the picture. That looks an amazing sunset.
