… this:
Can you see? Can you tell I have it? Is there any visible clue? OK sometimes you might see me walking awkwardly, or you might catch a grimace on my face, but most of the time the answer is no, you can’t tell there’s anything wrong with me. Same goes for various other so called “hidden disabilities”.
This is why it is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day today. To try and remind people that there are many of us out there who look pretty normal, but we’re battling every day with pain, fatigue and all the other symptoms.
So before you judge anyone, consider for a moment what they may be going through in their lives, and be kind. That’s all there is to it really, if you just remember one thing: be kind.
Since the logo of Fibromyalgia Action UK is a butterfly and the colour is purple, here are a few of my photos along that theme…
I worked with someone who had Fibromyalgia, I wish I’d known more about it at the time, I’d have been more supportive.

One of my favorite quotes has long been this one:
“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.”

Thank you for the reminder.
