Crochet Progress

Part 5

Since my last post, there has been quite a lot of progress on different projects.

Secret Christmas Projects

I have now finished 2 items, almost finished another and am about 3/4 of the way through another. I’m amazed that the secret project for my daughter is still secret! I’ve been working on it on weekend mornings while she’s still in bed and it’s nearly finished. I wish I could share some photos but that would spoil the surprise!

Carnival of Flowers

I’m still loving the Carnival of Flowers CAL and there have been 2 more parts since I last posted:

I thought I’d figured out what yarn I was using (from my stash, no labels) and order some more… but it turns out that wasn’t it. The cream is just a tiny bit finer – you may be able to see on the 2nd picture that you can see a little more gapping between stitches on the outer cream part. The extra ball of green I bought isn’t right either – much more of a leafy green than the one I started with which is more mint green. Ah well, I’ll see how it goes. It still looks beautiful regardless 🙂

I’ve even started making another one with the yarn left over from the Water Garden CAL while I was waiting for the next part of the pattern to come out!

Orchid Cardi

I had a bit of a break from Christmas crochet to do a bit more of my cardi. I’ve got past the waist band now and have started to flare out. Not the greatest photo, but gives the idea of what it looks like on:

I’ve actually got further since I took that photo so it’s not entirely up to date – this is how it looks at the moment (not worn):
