Primrose yellow is such a gentle, delicate kind of yellow. While the Daffodils, Dandelions and Forsythia are proclaiming the start of spring with their bright sunshine yellow, the primrose is more subtle with its approach. And when adorned with shining raindrops, the picture is complete.

These Primroses are in my garden. I’m hoping to have a short walk around the village tomorrow. There are lots of Celandines to see, and the Blackthorn is flowering too. I’ll take a look in the woods to see if the Wood Anemones are flowering yet, although its probably too early. And maybe Violets? Fingers crossed for good weather and a low pain day. I love spring.
You are so right … so very delicate! Ours are nearly finished I was trimming the spent stems today and admiring the odd yellow bloom
