Normally I concentrate on the small things when I’m out taking photos. You might see me staring closely into the hedgerow looking for Violets, or chasing butterflies, trying to get a shot. Today I decided to look for bigger things, along with my normal close-ups.
This lone tree on the edge of a ploughed field looks almost like it’s in the desert.

I had a go at doing a long(ish) exposure of the stream rushing by. I didn’t bring my tripod, so it wasn’t great, but I was quite pleased with it.

I crossed this bridge to get the shot of the tree above. It seems to be inviting me back into the woods.

Along the way I encountered some larger creatures than the ones I usually photograph. This young male cow was particularly friendly and wanted to lick my hand, eat my hair and generally get in my face 🙂

He didn’t just like licking me, he licked pretty much anything he could reach!

It was interesting to try and get some different sorts of photos, but my first love is still close-ups 🙂

You’re right Suzy, nice to see you out and about shooting the big “stuff”! Loved your bovine images 🙂
