The Welsh Poppies reappear year after year. The are so delicate, with thin petals, like tissue paper. They seem happy in my wild garden, in amongst the grass.

I used to have a drought garden, and Californian poppies were a staple. Never ever needed watering. They looked delicate, and were tough as old boots.
