If you look in my Nature Guide, you’ll find there are a number of flowers with Red in their name. Sometimes they look pink to me, but if their name is red, then they count!
We have:
Red Campion:

Red Clover:

Red Dead-nettle

Redshank

With insects, red seems to be more literal and things definitely look red!
We have the Large Red Damselfly:

Or the Small Red Damselfly:

And a Red Admiral Butterfly too:

Lovely set, Suzy. Though as many “red” things look green to me…. 😉
We have Red Admirals on this side of the pond as well. It’s wild to me how many butterfly species are native to both sides of the Atlantic. They seem such delicate creatures yet they cross oceans unaided….
