On the Hook, 8/2/20

Not much progress on the Kaleidoscope CAL this week. I’ve have a total of 7 1/2 part 3 triangles now, so I’ve only done 4 1/2 this week. Mainly due to being exhausted and kind of broken from last weekend’s exertions and a very busy week at work. Some evenings I didn’t crochet at all.

The rainbow yarn I bought finally turned up on Thursday (over a week since I ordered it), and I couldn’t resist making a start on my shawl idea. This is how it looks so far:

Once I get up to 80 rows, I’ll start decreasing to make a gently sloping triangle. The yarn is really nice, good colours and it just feels like good quality yarn, and I’m enjoying working with it. It’s King Cole Riot DK which is 30% wool and 70% acrylic. I’m looking forward to being able to wrap this round my neck on chilly days and brighten up my boring black coat!
