This week I’ve done some work for the Kaleidoscope CAL but have also gone back to the Luna Sweater that I last mentioned at the beginning of January.

I have been keeping track in a notepad as I mentioned last time, but today I decided to put it in a spreadsheet so I can have it automatically tell me my percentages for each part. I do like a nice spreadsheet 🙂

So here is where I’ve got to:

ItemShapeColoursTo MakeMade%
Kaleidoscope CAL Progress

So even though I’m quite behind, I’m glad to see that I have done 58% of the shapes so far. Not as bad as I thought! Since last time I’ve only done 2 more 2B triangles and 3 more 2A triangles, so not a lot of progress, but at least I am moving in the right direction 🙂

Part 5 came out yesterday and it’s the start of some joining! I should probably finish the triangles before I try it, but I fear I’m going to be far too tempted for that, so no doubt I’ll have some joined bits to show you next time!

As mentioned, I’ve gone back to my Luna sweater, as I felt an urge to finish it, and went with it! So while the Kaleidoscope progress has been minimal, my sweater now has one arm, and I’ve started on the 2nd one. I’m loving how this is looking and I’m keen to wear it. The only thing that is slightly bothering me is the join lines. It’s worked in the round without turning, so the join wanders a bit if you know what I mean. So you don’t have a neat straight line where you join, and end up with a diagonal line. Maybe it’s just me. Anyway, it doesn’t matter, it’s probably only noticeable to me as I’m looking at it closely.
