It feels like I haven’t done much this week, but actually I have managed to create 12 more squares for the Kaleidoscope CAL since last week’s post, so that’s not bad for someone working full-time and going to bed at 9pm! I’m now on 33! So close to finishing now. I hope I’ll finish offContinue reading “On the Hook, 25/1/20”
This week I have mainly been crocheting squares for the Kaleidoscope CAL. I have now reached the heady heights of 21 completed squares! Only 15 to go! Yesterday, part 2 of the CAL came out (a triangle), and I’ve done a couple to see what they’re like. I will go back to squares now andContinue reading “On the Hook 18/1/20”
This week I have been continuing to work on my squares for the Kaleidoscope Blanket CAL. So far I have 13. I’m working towards a total of 36. I don’t think I’ll have all 36 done by the time the next part of the CAL comes out (17th) but that really doesn’t matter. I’m thinkingContinue reading “On the Hook 11/1/20”
I picked up a great new crochet book at the weekend from The Works. It’s called Crocheted Wreaths and Garlands, by Kate Eastwood. There are some gorgeous things to create. Here are a few little samples… Looking forward to trying out these patterns!
I thought I’d try and do a regular crochet update, and a Saturday morning seems like a good time. So what have I been up to recently? While I was visiting family for Christmas, I picked up some Caron Simply Soft from Hobbycraft at half price. I was very pleased with this bargain! I’ve startedContinue reading “On the Hook 4/1/20”
I created some crochet art for members of my family this Christmas and I can now finally show it off after they’ve all received their gifts. First off, for my sister I created a branch of cherry blossom, with some embroidery to create the branch: Mum had some Japanese Anemones, again with some embroidery forContinue reading “Crochet Art”
Throughout December I’ve been taking part in the Knitcraft Advent CAL. I’ve made 24 baubles which are all hanging on our tree. It’s been a lovely project to work on and my tree looks lovely 🙂🎄 Here are the baubles …
Finished this today. I’m mostly happy with it although it’s not as nice as the one that inspired it. It’s a little shorter than I’d usually like and being as it’s bottom up I would have needed to add rows at the beginning but I didn’t so I shall just have to get used toContinue reading “Ombre Jumper finished”
I’m learning loads by doing the CAL for Octopus for a Preemie UK. It really makes a big difference. I’m yarn-undering and invisible inc/decing all over the place! Octo no. 2 so far: Comparison with my first attempt without the help of the CAL!
As well as the other updates, I also made a new sunhat. Goodness knows what I did with the old one I made, but here is the new one. Pattern is Ciuci Sun Hat by Kinga Erdem.
