This week has been mainly focused on the final stages of the Pandemonium CAL. It is now completely finished! I haven’t done any other crochet this week – making a border all the way around a very large blanket is rather time consuming! So here it is. The first few photos were from part wayContinue reading “On the Hook, 4/7/20”
This week I’ve completed parts 17 and 18 of my Pandemonium blanket, as well as finishing the wraparound skirt I was working on. Pandemonium CAL Part 17 – more pretty pink petals and some blue clusters. Pandemonium CAL Part 18 – more dragonflies, yay! 😀 If you’re being observant you might notice that at theContinue reading “On the Hook, 30/5/20”
I haven’t updated this blog for a while so there are some things to catch up on. I saw this pattern in Crochet Now (issue 40) and we decided I’d make it for Abi. Hobbycraft were super-fast and the yarn I chose to use arrived the very next day! It was Knitcraft Hey Baby, chosenContinue reading “Kitty jumper for Abi”
I was looking for photos on the Weekly Photo Challenge theme of ‘relax’. Initially I tried to capture my cat relaxing with my daughter, but being a black cat, he’s not terribly photogenic I find, and this was the best I could do: So I started thinking about a different approach. Rather than something orContinue reading “Soothing Light”
The weekly photo challenge is ‘Oops!’ this week. The thing that immediately sprung to mind was the pile of rejected photos from the previous post featuring festive Christmas tree photos. These all include rather unwanted reflections which I didn’t think about until I was looking at them on the computer! Inspired by the Weekly PhotoContinue reading “Oops – reflections”
Sometimes the creatures I take photos of express themselves quite clearly and it’s possible to capture that in a photograph. Here’s a few that make me smile 🙂 And because this song is now stuck in my head … Or if you prefer the original: In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “ExpressContinue reading “Weekly Photo Challenge – Express Yourself”
So who’s singing the soft kitty song now? 🙂 I just thought this photo has a very soft and warm look about it – this little cat is looking so happy and warm in the sun.
Today I accidentally caught my cat in a raindrop! Can you see him there, upsidedown among the ragwort flowers?! There’s not much going on out there apart from raindrops and the ocasional spider or fly, so raindrops were my focus. I didn’t quite get the photo I wanted but this amused me. The cat wasContinue reading “Cat in a Rain Drop”
I haven’t ventured out much with the camera for a while as I haven’t been feeling well. I’ve been feeling quite sorry for myself. Last weekend I had to drag myself out as my daughter was taking part in a Cross Country competition. I took a lot of photos of her riding, and one crazyContinue reading “I’m back”
The kittens at my daughter’s riding school are looking very grown up now. They are still quite small, but their faces have matured so now they’re cats really, not kittens at all. This one is Piper, the little girl. She reminds me of a cat I used to have a long time back.
