Drippy Fungus

I found this fungus yesterday while having my lunchtime walk. It’s a fairly normal bracket fungus which was growing inside an old rotten tree stump, but what caught my eye was all the drips hanging on it. Very odd looking but strangely beautiful.

Fungi

On a walk at the weekend we spotted some interesting fungi. First some “normal” looking mushroomy fungi, and then some very odd orange slimy stuff which after a bit of googling seems to be jelly fungus – perhaps one called Witches Butter or Yellow Brain Fungus. Very odd stuff … fascinating, but also slightly revolting!
