Finished this today. I’m mostly happy with it although it’s not as nice as the one that inspired it. It’s a little shorter than I’d usually like and being as it’s bottom up I would have needed to add rows at the beginning but I didn’t so I shall just have to get used to…… Continue reading Ombre Jumper finished

Ombre Jumper
Despite all the things I could (should) be finishing I have just started a new jumper. I came to it in a roundabout way as I first saw it on Kick Arse Crochet (love the blog title!) and seeing it there made me go get a copy of Simply Crochet where this pattern could be…… Continue reading Ombre Jumper
Kitty jumper for Abi
I haven’t updated this blog for a while so there are some things to catch up on. I saw this pattern in Crochet Now (issue 40) and we decided I’d make it for Abi. Hobbycraft were super-fast and the yarn I chose to use arrived the very next day! It was Knitcraft Hey Baby, chosen…… Continue reading Kitty jumper for Abi
Blue Circles
The Blue Circles cardi was finished on Thursday and I wore it to work on Friday. I did feel slightly overdressed as it’s so special, but I felt proud of myself for finishing it. Here are some photos taken immediately after finishing it. It was blocked again afterwards so the bottom corners are now more…… Continue reading Blue Circles
Envision Cardi
I started another project! I know, I should finish what I’m doing first, but as I’d completed 4 out of 5 Christmas projects, and there was a 3 for 2 on everything at Hobbycraft, I couldn’t resist. I’m making the Envision Cardigan by Heidi May, using Knitcraft Get Your Fluff On. Loving the yarn and…… Continue reading Envision Cardi
Orchid Cardi Progress
I have made it past the armholes! Still a long way to go though. It’s so pretty! It’s not going to stay in this pattern all the way. It has a kind of waist band which is simple dc rows and sc rows (tr & dc in UK terms), and then it flairs out with…… Continue reading Orchid Cardi Progress
Orchid Cardi
I really should finish one thing before I start another! I started this before I finished the Jade jumper, but at least I then went back and finished the jumper off rather than leaving it languishing. This pattern is lovely, but it’s quite slow work. The WI Soft and Silky yarn is really making the…… Continue reading Orchid Cardi

I bought some lovely Women’s Institute Soft & Silky yarn in blue, to make a new cardigan. The pattern I’m going to use is Orchid Top by Lily Go
Knitcraft Water Garden CAL
At the end of March I started this CAL (Crochet-a-long) to make this gorgeous blanket. Just over 7 weeks later it was finished. It was a labour of love, and came out absolutely gorgeous! Finished blanket: And here are some in progress shots:
