Apart from my garden and the village pond, I think the place I most find my joy is at Cors Caron Nature Reserve. It’s so peaceful and beautiful and full of life. There’s a feeling of pure joy just to stroll slowly in the quiet, watching insects and birds, and even lizards.
It has been a little too warm for me lately. I am not very good with heat. These guys, however, were delighted. Meet Mr and Mrs Lizard, enjoying a spot of sunbathing at Cors Caron Nature Reserve a week or 2 back.

I’m still working my way through photos from Ynys Hir. There are a bunch of ponies in the reserve, and they were hanging around near the path. We saw these beautiful swans at Ynys Hir Nature Reserve yesterday and were lucky enough to get some nice shots of them. They are such elegant birds and these two seemed to be a lovely couple.
If you saw my post yesterday you will have seen a glimpse of Cors Caron (nature reserve) in the winter. These are some photos I took back in July 2012 so you can see what it was like back in the summer.
The last time I visited this nature reserve (Cors Caron) was in the summer when it was warm and bright and alive with insects. Now it is cold and bare and frozen and the ponds are iced over. But there is still beauty in the ice.
