This flower may rate as one of the most difficult to photograph in my opinion. It’s white, and it’s tiny and both those things combined make it rather tricky to get a good shot. These two are the best of my attempts. In the end I actively went for a soft gentle glow, rather than tryingContinue reading “Gypsophila”
The flower for today is a peachy carnation with dark edges. It’s quite a hard flower to focus on I found as it’s got so many frilly petals. I quite like the softness of some of these shots as they give it a dreamy quality.
Yup, I’m still going with the flowers, and there’s more to come! Today I bring you … pink carnations 🙂 Enjoy!
Today’s flower is a red and white carnation. Kind of reminds me of a candy cane with this red and white striping.
Another flower from our bunch today – these are alstroemeria.
As you’ll know, if you read Bruce’s blog, I brought some flowers home the other day so that we would have something to photograph while it rains continuously (it seems!). Bouquets of flowers can be ridiculously expensive, so I shopped with care and found 2 little bunches with a nice variety of flowers in forContinue reading “Gerberas”
On my drive home from work yesterday the sky was looking beautiful and I decided to try getting some shots on my phone camera. It was an interesting experiment, and you do get to see how beautiful the sky was, but unfortunately there are also road signs, lamp posts, etc. spoiling the shots a bit.Continue reading “Driving Sunset”
On Saturday I was so delighted to find snowdrops as I’ve been missing having flowers to photograph. On the way back on our walk I had walked on ahead and as I looked back to see where Bruce was, I was curious to see what he was taking a photo of. It turned out toContinue reading “Daisy”
The moss on the wall near our house looked like it was on fire yesterday with the sun shining on it. It was quite hard to photograph because the sun was so bright and photos ended up washed out or out of focus, but a few turned out ok.
We found a lovely patch of snowdrops. None of these photos are particularly well focused as it was pretty tough getting low enough to the ground without getting covered in mud, but I still like them anyway. It kind of works with a soft focus I think.
