The colour of primroses makes me think of lemon cheesecake. They’re such a gentle shade of yellow – not bright and in your face, but fresh and clean, a clear sign of spring.
There were more signs of spring on our walk last weekend, and I’m really looking forward to more. There will be Bluebells, Wood Anemones, Buttercups, Cuckooflowers… all the lovely spring flowers to look forward to! But for now here’s a few of the more early signs of spring.
Primrose yellow is such a gentle, delicate kind of yellow. While the Daffodils, Dandelions and Forsythia are proclaiming the start of spring with their bright sunshine yellow, the primrose is more subtle with its approach.
