Autumn brings with it a treat for my eyes, as the Beech tree in the garden changes colour beautifully.
Normally I concentrate on the small things when I’m out taking photos. You might see me staring closely into the hedgerow looking for Violets, or chasing butterflies, trying to get a shot. Today I decided to look for bigger things, along with my normal close-ups. This lone tree on the edge of a ploughed fieldContinue reading “Different”
I was considering what I might post on the topic of curves for the Lens-Artists Challenge #28 and thought about some curvy frilly fungi I saw growing on a tree back in the autumn. Being me, I had to figure out what kind of fungus it was before I could blog about it! It has takenContinue reading “Curves and Frills”
On a short walk today I found a lot of autumn colour…
There’s something pleasing about a lone tree silhouetted against the sky. You might say it is a harmonious photograph. Harmonious: forming a pleasing and consistent whole. I’m not complaining as I like a quiet morning to potter about, drink tea, read blogs and catch up on Facebook etc. Right now it’s just me and the trees and the cat 🙂 Later the teens willContinue reading “Christmas Morning”
This week’s photo challenge set me thinking I’m sure I have some nice silhouettes somewhere! I had a good poke around my archives and found these sunsets from back in April. Trees and roofs silhouetted against the sky: And normally electricity wires in a photo may not be liked, but I quite like the contrastContinue reading “Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette”
Another one of the decorations on the Christmas tree is this bauble which reminds me of a disco ball, reflecting light in all directions and picking up all the colours of lights and tinsel.
I took a couple of iPhone photos again on the way home from work. Firstly the sunset over the town and then a nice silhouette of a tree on the country roads nearer home. Not top notch photos I’m sure, but they capture the moment 🙂
As you may have gathered, I do rather like water droplets! These are a few droplets from around my parents’ garden a couple of days ago. I can’t resist a droplet! 🙂
