So, yesterday, I spent quite a large amount of time getting ridiculously windswept and covered in sea spray! But it was for a good cause. My daughter asked for a beach ride for her birthday, so I had arranged for her, her friend and her friend’s mum to go to Nolton Stables in Pembrokeshire and…… Continue reading Beach Riding
We saw these beautiful swans at Ynys Hir Nature Reserve yesterday and were lucky enough to get some nice shots of them. They are such elegant birds and these two seemed to be a lovely couple.
About a week & a half ago, Bruce and I went to Ynyslas sand dunes which are just up the coast from where we live in mid-Wales. As you’d expect, we had the cameras out and I took a fair few photos, but when I looked at them back at home, I was a bit…… Continue reading Dramatic Dunes
Last weekend we went for a walk by the sea in Aberystwyth but it was cold and cloudy and blowing a gale so we didn’t stay long – I got a few photos though: On Thursday this week the weather was better and we returned to the same beach – what a difference a bit…… Continue reading Aberystwyth Weather

A walk by the sea today with a bit of sunshine and blue sky. Sadly it didn’t last and by lunch time we were back to rain and cloud. But it was good to get out and get some shots – I was experimenting with a wide angle lens and a new polarising filter.
If you saw my post yesterday you will have seen a glimpse of Cors Caron (nature reserve) in the winter. These are some photos I took back in July 2012 so you can see what it was like back in the summer.
We’ve been wondering if it will ever stop raining … then it did for a bit so I rushed out in the cold and took some photos of yet more droplets. Merry Christmas from a very wet Wales.
In an unusual juxtaposition of work (my ‘real’ life) and poetry (my semi-secret life), I was looking for a YouTube video to use as a test of embedding such videos into some web pages at work. This was for a research project which is all about poetry. So naturally, rather than just slapping any old…… Continue reading Random YouTube Find: Rhian Edwards
